When you donate your Zakat this Ramadan,
100% of your donation will go directly to the hand of an orphan.
However, thousands of orphans still require urgent support to assist with the cost of living, medical and food aid, and shelter.
Many of these children have no one to care for them and are more vulnerable without the protection of parents or guardians.
We recognize the amanah our donors place in us to ensure that their support is given to those most in need and we carry this responsibility with the upmost integrity.
We understand the position of many in our community with regards to how their Zakat is disbursed, that is why this Ramadan we will be implementing this unique project in which 100% of your donation will go to the orphan.
The Prophet (SAW) said, “Myself and the caretaker of an orphan will be in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together.
Islamic Relief Canada has been providing food packs to families in need throughout Ramadan for over 10 years. Communities in Canada have been partnering together to feed more and more families throughout Ramadan.
Through your Zakat, Sadaqah and Ramadan donations, we distribute food baskets to the poorest of the poor in the blessed month of Ramadan. Each food basket contains 65 pounds of food and feeds a family of 5 – 7 people in the following countries:
